How to get out of Paying Tickets

Paying tickets is never fun. Over the past two years I haven't paid a single ticket. This may come back to haunt me someday, but for now it's been working out great.

The scam:

When you bought your scooter you probably bought it used from another foreigner. If you didn't then this won't work for you. To get out of paying the tickets just leave the scooter registration in the name of the last person who owned the bike. The previous owner (who is probably no longer in the country) will continue to receive tickets for years to come, while you will never hear a thing about it. If you happen to get pulled over just explain that you are driving a friends bike (if they ask) and show them the registration. Chances are that no one will ever mention the fact that the bike is registered to someone else. I had my bike impounded and managed to get the bike back using the old owners registration with no problems. Good luck with this one.
