       Sometimes it's difficult to determine how much you should be paying for an apartment, especially when you move to a new city. Hopefully this guide will give you a good overview of what to look for and how much you should be paying.

Move Fast: too much waiting will get you nothing

       Taipei is a fast moving city. Often times you will look at an apartment on Monday afternoon, think about it Monday night and by the time you call back on Tuesday morning the apartment is already gone. If you see something you like, don't think too long before finalizing the deal.

Deposit: two month rent standard

       It seems like a lot of money, but the standard deposit is usually 2 full months rent. This means that for your first month you will have to pay three months rent. One for the first months and two for the deposit.
